  This project was a program held at the Basel School of Design Advanced Class from 1990 to 1991. It was part of Wolfgang Weingart's typography project, and the theme was the cover-redesign of previously published "US-Atlas by Richard Saul Wurman". This book contains all of the black and white works by Hitoshi Koizumi who is the only Japanese student at the time. The proposals are presented in the order in which they were created, and are unorganized.

  Hitoshi Koizumi (コイズミ ヒトシ)
  Hitoshi Koizumi, born 1958, studied at Schule für Gestaltung in Basel. Founded TypeShop_g in 2007; since 2020, he started an indie publisher, publishing books in a wide range of fields, not just in Japan, in line with his philosophy. His studio is equipped with both Swiss style and Japanese hand-typesetting for the press printing; currently teaching tea ceremony at his house in Nippori/Tokyo.
